If I Had Three Genie Wishes

The Daily Prompt asked — “You have three magic genie wishes. What are you asking for?”
And I smiled. Because my wishes are not for myself alone — they are for everyone who dares to dream of peace, music, and humanity.

Wish One: A World That Plays in Harmony

I wish for a jazz chamber orchestra born in Bangladesh — musicians from every background, every rhythm, playing together.
Their music travels the world, carrying Lalon’s message that all humans are one — beyond religion, beyond nation.

This orchestra isn’t just about music. It’s about tuning hearts — Dhaka, Delhi, Tokyo, London — all vibrating on one frequency: compassion.

Wish Two: Justice, Joy, and Return

I wish that every exile finds home.
That the Rohingya return safely.
That Myanmar knows peace.
That Modi and Yunus dance like old friends.
That Imran Khan is free and playing cricket again.
That Palestine’s children go to school with laughter, not fear.
That all who caused war — Netanyahu, Bush, Blair, and the rest — face justice.

Wish Three: A World That Creates, Not Destroys

I wish that peace becomes ordinary.
That Putin and Zelensky sign not treaties, but songs.
That Bangladeshi students return to their Ukrainian colleges.
That the Middle East becomes a symphony of democracy.
That in Iran, discovery and art walk hand in hand again.

And that everywhere — from village to metropolis — people wake each morning ready to build, write, paint, and compose.

Because when peace arrives, art begins to bloom again.

If the genie granted me these three wishes,
I wouldn’t ask for more.
I’d only whisper —
“Now let the orchestra play.”
